Office First Aid
Offices feel low-risk, but a building with a few hundred people in it sees a steady stream of medical events: faints, chest pain, diabetic lows, allergic reactions at lunch, falls on stairs. A first aid course for a handful of volunteers on each floor turns a panicked crowd into a calm response.
In short
Office first aiders mostly deal with medical emergencies rather than injuries: fainting, chest pain, low blood sugar, breathing difficulty, allergic reactions and, rarely but critically, cardiac arrest. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED covers all of these.
Aim for at least one trained person on every floor, on every shift, allowing for leave and business travel. In practice many offices train two or three per floor so someone is always in.

Agree who calls 998, who meets the ambulance at the lobby and who holds a lift. A short drill once a year makes those roles automatic.
