BLS Course Duration
The honest answer is: it depends on the route you choose. A classroom BLS course is completed in a single visit, while HeartCode blended BLS moves most of the learning online so the time you spend with us is short. Here is how the time breaks down.
In short
Classroom BLS is a single visit covering teaching, practice and testing. HeartCode BLS splits it: an online part at your own pace, then a short hands-on skills session. Our sessions run within 09:00 to 17:00; the booking form shows each date and time.
Everything happens in one visit: video segments, instructor demonstrations, plenty of hands-on practice on adult and infant manikins, then the skills tests and the written test. Allow most of a morning or afternoon, and a little longer if you have never done BLS before. First-timers usually prefer this route — see classroom BLS explained.
The online part is adaptive: experienced providers who already know the material move through it faster. After it, you attend a short skills session at our centre for practice and testing.
