BLS for Allied Health
Cardiac arrests do not only happen on wards. Physiotherapy gyms, imaging suites, laboratories and dialysis units all see collapses, and the allied health professional in the room is the first responder. That is why UAE facilities increasingly require a current BLS course for every clinical role.

Most UAE hospitals and many clinics require BLS for all patient-facing allied health staff, renewed every two years. The standard AHA BLS Provider course is the right one.

Outside the ward there may be no crash trolley in the room and fewer clinical colleagues nearby. Knowing where the nearest AED is, how to call your hospital’s emergency team and how to start compressions on a patient lying on an imaging table or treatment plinth is part of the job. We discuss these settings on the course so the chain of survival starts without delay wherever you work.
