ACLS Certificate
When a hospital asks for your “ACLS certificate”, it almost always means the American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard — the proof that you completed an AHA ACLS course and passed its skills tests, Megacode and written test.
In short
The AHA ACLS Provider eCard is issued by the training centre after you pass, is valid for two years to the end of the month shown, and can be verified by anyone on the AHA eCard website.
AHA course completion cards are issued electronically. After you pass, the training centre issues your ACLS Provider eCard and you receive an email to claim it. You can view, download, print and share it.
Two years, expiring at the end of the month shown. There is no grace period; plan ACLS renewal a month ahead. Your BLS certificate runs separately and must also be current.

Because both cards last two years, many clinicians renew them together so they only have one date to remember. If your BLS expires before your ACLS, renew it early rather than risk an ACLS course starting with a lapsed BLS card.
