    Purpose of Use

    This product is intended for collecting, transporting, and preserving saliva, oropharyngeal, and nasopharyngeal specimens for the testing of the respiratory pathogen.

    Functions of Preservation Solution

    This product is for collecting, transporting, and preserving the specimens to test infec- tions caused by respiratory pathogen. Transport media contains surfactant which helps microorganism or virus isolation and also contains guanidine to safely store nucleic acid.

    Storage Method

    This product, unopended, can be stored at 18~25℃ for 12 months after manufacturing date.

    How to Use

    Open the package and take out a sampling swab. Open the small swab package to take the swab out by holding the handle part.
    Use the head part of the swab to collect samples from the patient. Turn the handle a few times lightly or scrape to collect samples on the head part.
    Nasopharyngeal swab: Push the swab into the nose past the nostril at an angle parallel to the palate. Scrape secretions in the middle or bottom part. Absorb secretions for a few seconds in the middle or bottom part of the inferior nasal concha.
    1.Oropharyngeal swab: Rub the swab up and down against the pharynx rear wall while depressing the tongue.
    2.Saliva swab: Collect the saliva at the tip of the tongue.
    3.Close the cap of the transport medium and shake lightly to spread samples uniformly. Record name, sex, age, collection date, and sample type on the tube label.
    Transport to the laboratory as soon as possible.
